About Us
Welcome to Great Tiles.
Founded by Colin and Jim, Great Tiles brings together more than 55 years of combined experience in the tile and flooring industry. Over the years, we have developed a keen eye for quality, design and style, while gaining a clear understanding of what customers truly value when creating their ideal space.
We believe your home should be your sanctuary—a place that reflects your personality, suits your lifestyle and makes you feel completely at ease. That is why we are passionate about making the process of choosing your tiles and flooring as enjoyable and rewarding as the finished result.
Whether you are renovating a single room or transforming your entire home, we are here to offer expert guidance, inspiration and carefully selected products to help bring your vision to life.
Based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, we operate our website from our tile design studio. Customers are always welcome to visit us to view the collection, collect samples or even collect pre placed orders. Our team can offer advice on any project or technical questions you might have.
Our Philosophy: A True Partnership
At Great Tiles, we aren’t just selling tiles; we’re partnering with you. We know that planning a renovation requires a significant investment of your time, effort, and finances. Our mission is simple: to help you design a home you love using high-quality products at prices that make sense. We are committed to your vision, providing the support you need to ensure your project is a success from the first sketch to the final tile.
Designed With You, Not Numbers, In Mind
We created Great Tiles because we saw a gap in the industry. Far too many large retail outlets have lost their way, prioritising volume and corporate processes over the people they serve. We refuse to fall into that trap.
We are a tight-knit, expert team who have spent many years working for some of the biggest names in the sector. Along the way, we became frustrated by how restrictive procedures and rigid processes often stood in the way of genuinely great service. We decided to strip all of that away to get back to what matters: you.
Here for Every Step of the Way
When you choose Great Tiles, you’re choosing a team that cares as much about your project as you do. Whether you need professional styling advice to get the look just right, technical guidance on substrate preparation, or you just want to reach out and boast about how incredible your finished space looks, we are here.
We’re in your corner, and we can’t wait to see what you create.
Remember, you don’t have to do this alone. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by choices or technical specs, call us on 01438 582928 or email customerservice@greattiles.co.uk . We’re here to simplify the process and help you bring your ideas to life.
